EQ vs. IQ… Do You Know Your Emotions?

Do You Know Your Emotions?

Only 1/3 of people tested have been able to accurately identify their emotions as they happen. This means that two thirds of us are typically controlled by our emotions and are not yet skilled at spotting them and using them to our benefit.

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the KEY!

Emotional Intelligence is a relatively new concept fathered by a psychologist by the name of Daniel Goleman.

He says Emotional Intelligence is about 4 things:

1.  AWARENESS of your emotions

2.  ABILITY TO USE your emotions

3.  Awareness and ability to READ others’ emotions

4.  Ability to effectively MANAGE on-going relationships

Having the ability to effectively manage your emotions and thereby managing relationships is KEY for any type of sales or management related activity.

Studies have shown your EQ to be 90% more effective than any cognitive or technical expertise.

So in short…

IQ gets you through school…

And EQ gets you through life…

Be YOUR Best,

Joe
